DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES
To join our team, we’re looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist. They’ll do manual quality assurance testing before launches and releases, ensuring that the work we supply fulfills stated functional and design criteria.
The ideal applicant will employ critical thinking, empathy for users, and meticulous attention to detail to identify possible issues if anything appears aesthetically or functionally inappropriate, even if those needs are not defined in the functional spec or design comps.
You’ll collaborate with delivery teams to develop detailed QA plans and, as appropriate, test websites using those plans.
During the entire development lifetime of a project and after it ships, you’ll be working as part of a team with Backend Engineers, Project Leads, Project Managers, and other partners.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly communicate with developers.
- Examine product submissions and updates for static analysis reports and code.
- Have an excellent eye for manually finding errors in code reviews.
- Understanding and awareness of common security concerns in WordPress plugins and themes.
- Take charge of your development and skills.
- Self-control and the ability to manage your job and process.
- Deadlines must be met, and project milestones must complete tasks.
- Participate in the project team and department calls and communicate the status of your work to Project Managers.
- With our time tracking software, you can keep an accurate time record.
- To discover and report reoccurring issues to management and product development, monitor risk-management procedures, and preserve and analyze problem logs.
- Provide quality assurance team with training and support on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of prior web-based technology project quality assurance experience.
- 2+ years of experience in digital and web application development.
- Writing detailed test strategies and test cases is a plus.
- Knowledge of QA procedures, processes, and technologies is required.
- With BrowserStack and cross-platform testing tools, you’ve defined and reviewed test results.
- Comfortable with the primary computer and mobile operating systems, such as Windows 10, Mac OS/X, iOS, Android, and the major browsers that run on them (e.g., Safari, Firefox, Chrome).
- Ability to identify and record design and user experience issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with a bachelor’s degree.
